W should equal wide, not sure what the GP stands for. Maybe they are releasing a pro version of the vintage wide cars.

Tamiyablog.com has posted a CAD drawing of this.

It's an F104X1 with the F103's front arms. But look at the chassis. Instead of rotating mounts for the ESC and receiver, it features fixed mounts.

It says "with body"; so I am betting on Nigel Mansells' Williams FW14 that he won the 1992 championship with. They have done this body before, so they have the molds. Also, since they recently released the Ferrari and McLarens from that era, it stands to reason that they would, and should release the FW14 Williams.

Or it could simply be a wide version of the F104X1. Not sure.

Either way, I'm hoping that Tamiya will release their own independent suspension F1 car soon, as a response to the 3 Racing FGX.

I read up on some badly-translated Japanese sites and their speculation is the "WGP" means that it runs on the old LeMans type bodies.

Wasn't the 956 a 1:12?
At least i drove the Newman Haas and the Rothman Porsche and they both where 1:12
1:10 200MM are the Mercedes C11,Mazda787,NissanR91,Jaguar XJR12 and so on.
If they did rerelease those car that would be the "bomb"

regards Roy

Yeah
The Gr.C cars are my favorite cars, i was hoping for a new line of tamiya 1:10 Pan cars.

After seeing the Tamiya live video it looks like the new tamiya WGP car is a rubber spec wide F104X

with a non spesific Body livery.

It is a full race chassis for wide F1,It has heighty adjustable front knuckles,a one piece t bar f104 type and a bunch of alloy. Body is the tyrrell without decals.
This is for the people that think they need something newer than a F103 to compete in F1. List price is 36000 yen

The Nissan is coming this winter. The others came a few years ago and the C11 was re released twice.
