Default Exotek F1R

Seems there wasn't a thread for the F1R so I thought I'd start one.
Anyone using the F103 as the basis for their F1R ??
This kit looks like a real winner. Anybody out there planning to run JUST the short lipo's with it ??

Looking at the pictures at the website, I would guess front end (complete), rear pod with axis and ball diff, maybe some small parts, not sure.

On the website they say the basis can be a 103 or a 104, is that what you wanted to know?

Actually wanted to know if anyone has used the F103 parts with the F1R yet. So far, all the pics and info seem to be of F104 front ends.
I guess I might be one of the first. Just ordered my F1R and I'll convert one of my F103's.

Nobody out there has any time on the track yet with a F1R ???

I've used F103 parts with my Exotek F104 which is a great combination.. Tonnes of traction and loads of steering in a very easy to dial in package.

I find the stock F103 a tad more difficult to dial in.

I've recently just put a 6.5T motor in my Exotek for a laugh and it actually kept it on the track.. I was quite surprised.

These are the parts needed to build your own F1R roller from the ground up. Swap out model numbers as desired for after market hop ups such as the Alloy Motor Mount etc.

F1R's just started shipping a little over a week ago. They are moving fast so folks should have them up and running soon

maybe i missed it, but is there a picture with electronics installed? it looks like there is plenty of space forward with a shorty or 1s battery. but with a standard 2s lipo where does the electronics go? do you need to use the 'wings' from the 104 kit?

Are there different lengths? One with the F103 wheelbase and one with the F104 wheelbase?

Good point. Let's get a picture with electronics installed. I can't envision my ESC and receiver fitting. Also, I guess the servo lead would just get routed next to the battery with maybe shoegoo or something...
