Only difference I can tell are the diff rings and the matching machining on the hubs to fit them. The diff action feel the same to me. The 417 rings cost more.

Thanks. For some reason, when I searched for that part # earlier I kept getting the small stainless pins that hold the end cap onto the right side diff hub.

You got one big diff with a 33.4mm long end cap pin. Lol

The Tamiya arm set includes the plastic arm mount plate.

If building a roller from parts I highly suggest downloading an F104 manual to help guide everyone on the Tamiya parts portion.

First wave of kits shipped out a day early today! Next wave goes out Monday.

Some ideas for those building cars next week;

What does the angled side links do vs. straight ones?

Great looking chassis MikeR, I like all the thought you put into it.

Will a low profile Orion servo work with new F1Rv2?? Exotek's website recommends a KO or Futaba

MikeR: any chance of a side pic of that car? and/or where is the recv, in front of the battery?

also : is that the clamp hub on the right rear wheel, is seem like another spacer is on there?

There are more pictures on the Exotek site. Looks like the TAMIYA clamp hub. I have the same one. The receiver is in front of the battery. Looks like it is attatched to the back of the servo. Going to do the same thing on my build.

Thanks,
To make it look cool! lol
- New angled side links. The triangulated angle improves suspension geometry resulting in much freer rear pod movement at extreme left right angles. The older 'square' link angles were free when flat but binds up the further the suspension lifted left or right. The result is improved bumpy track and high speed handling.

Hi,
If it has similar dimensions to the KO or Futabas then you should be fine. Maybe shims if at all.

Hi,
Yes rcvr in front of battery.
There is a spacer by the clamp. Did I leave that part off the builders list?
