@MikeR

A couple of Qs about the fgx-efx conversion:

Are you using different rear arms on your conversion car?

Have the upper deck posts been moved forward to give more motor room for those that don't have a tapered endbell?

I will be releasing an option rear arm later. Stronger and with adjustable wheelbase and 2 position dampener ball link holes.

Yes, the the rear posts- moved forward for improved motor clearance.

Thanks!

@MikeR

Thanks for the info. I was a little concerned no one seemed to be addressing the motor room issue. Any plans of coming out with a beefed up upper front arm?

Great looking car!

Congrats Ed on the TITC win! I'm sure you could make the F1R look good on the China circuit

This only works with the f103LM front bumper right? My F103GT chassis is MUCH wider at the front, and uses a smaller bumper.
True- you would need an LM type bumper for your GT car. If you can't find a Tamiya unit in one of the Hong Kong online shops then there is also TRG and ABC Hobby. In fact you might check ABC hobby USA

Did you give it a slight increase in diameter so that the Shimizu tires fit a tad tighter?

I really love that option on the FGX chassis to mount the battery across the chassis so that there is room to mount the servo flat on the chassis...As much as I enjoy my F1R I'm seriously considering switching to the FGX with Exotek chassis

after several weeks of running an F103, last night was the first run for my F1R in F103 configuration.
To put it mildly, this car is awesome
Did a little playing around with several adjustments to get it near the setup i wanted and was a weapon in the final. I'm impressed with fact that any adjustment made to chassis was felt on the track and was easy to pick if it was in the right direction.
Result for the night was TQ and win.........I'm wrapped

Yes and a few other refinements just for the Shimizus

The question is what color to make these in??
Black, metalized grey, white?

Looking forward to the rims. Any rough ETA MikeR?

I won't hold you to it, but if there's any news, I'd like to know so I can decide if I should just mount to Tamiyas for now.

Thanks!
