What parts are needed to widen the rear or the front of the F104 R3 . I don’t understand how to do this and why you need to. I don’t see any kits for this? Thanks for the information.

No servo saver. Just a servo horn and I already switched out to a different servo but the problem is still there.

I have a race this weekend so I took it out of the car in favor of the stock steering setup. I went and inspected the parts and nothing is bent. I guess I give up on it!

Do you have a glitch capacitor plugged into your receiver??? It might be a servo not getting enough current/signal around neutral or the torque is too low.....

It is possible the servo is glitching. However, wouldn't I notice the same problem with the stock steering setup. I have the stock steering system in the car now and it works perfectly. The servo centers itself even after I manually push the servo towards the left or right. I am convinced the problem is with the Exotek steering rack system.

Is everything moving freely when you disconect the servo? In fact its better to have some play than everything tight. Then it acts as you described.

When I detached the steering servo link and the links to the uprights the steering system moves left to right freely. There is no bind and or bend in the system. I have taken the entire front clip apart and inspect every part including the pins that hold the arms and nothing is bending or binding. It's a mystery to me why the system stopped working. I am going to send it back to Mike at Exotek. He has offered to help and hopefully he can make sense of it.

Thumbs up

astgerma52sp emailed us already and he was going to send the rack set back so that I can inspect it and swap anything out that may be a problem.
