Default F1 - Conversion kits?

Hi Mike,

I am equiping my old F1R3 with TEKIN "stuff" as we speak...... excited to see how she run's.
I was interested to see your responce about further F1 development's.

While I agree. The "Pan-Car" concept in the available F1 kit's are numerous, plentiful with, I feel, very little room for development.
I do think, with the growing acceptance of full, independent suspension car's (UF1 and many tracks accepting them in club race's) I would say your next concept and "radical idea" could well be in that area?

What do you think? ...... :-)

This is how you ruin a once simple and enjoyable class - over complicate everything.

I can not, for the life of me, follow what you are saying here???

"Over complicate thing's???" .......... A race car is as simple as your outlook on it. Or it can be as complicated as you want to make it..... irrespective of how it's built or the component's a car is made from.
You do not have to run a certain car if you don't want to ...... there are no special rule's needed. Just the acceptance of the concept.
At least it allow's those of us who want the extra complexity and realism to run and race the car's. Just because a certain style of car is considered "simple" does not necessarily mean it's enjoyable.

If a simplified rc car is all that's desired..... direct drive, solid axle(s), no suspension car's with spec' tire's and your good to go.

In other words a true "pan car".

I did one better. I quit racing after 20+ years of this never ending nonsense.

Less caster gives you more responsive steering low speed (chicanes etc).
More caster gives you more high speed steering (long sweepers).

I run about 4. It's quicker through the tight infields of our local tracks. I also use inline axles (not off set) steering hubs. Car feels more direct and responsive and actually easier to drive with inline hubs.
