Got mine out on the track this past weekend. Other than some fine tune adjustments this car is going to do well for me. Plenty of steering witch I was always lacking in other cars. I had two other classes to run so this one just sat there. Going to put more focus on this car next week.

It's a nice car! I just noticed most of my tires from
Last year sitting in the bag were all cracked on the side walls. Is this an issue for f1 tires. Got to order a fresh set now.

Ripped or dry and cracked? Sometimes they have a ragged/ripped look from side impacts (caused by the wheel) but never seen dry cracked. Could be some special sauce you are using! lol. I just clean my tires with blue dot buggy grip and they are great out of storage once they get heat into them.

They are on the inner holes. Slightly softer spring feel

This past Sunday we had our 2nd race of the Texas EOS at RSD Raceway in Houston. I was able to TQ and win the A-Main with my F1R3.

I basically started with wheelz carpet setup with alum chassis posted a few pages earlier in thread. The track was the old CRC carpet and due to unusually cool weather the track was very loose.
Only significant changes: I raised spindle height by 1mm from his setup for more steering, softer red tamiya Shock spring, rear shimizu 575's.
I still had a slight push but I took that so I could still have rear traction. Car was running same times as USGT

For me the sideways battery made the car easier to drive harder on asphalt. The weight moved to back gave more initial rear grip but then conversely gave it more steering mid corner... a win win for me

It's a layout that worked fantastic in the old Exotek F1ultra (for F103) but now that modern bodies (protoform) are available that allows side ways battery mounting in the F104 we were able to bring the layout back.
