Default F1R3 Setup

Hey guys! glad to see that some of you are receiving your new kits!!!!

I have my car sitting in front of me right now and have updated the setup sheet for what I am currently running (subject to change slightly as I am still dialing everything in for myself, but that being said the car has won many races the way it sits now! ) I will update weekly after tuning sessions and let you guys know if anything major changes

The setup is more medium to high bite carpet

Hope this helps and of course let me know if you have any questions I'd be happy to help the best I can

Aaron Lane

After playing around last night, the rear posts are actually spaced exactly where the posts on my F103 were. Width spacing, that is. I didn't check the front/rear spacing.

66 tooth spur ... perhaps you are running 48 pitch gears for durability. Or is it 64 pitch with the motor way far back in the pod?

48 pitch for durability and faster acceleration. In principle 64 pitch should be better but with 64 pitch you have to run such a tight mesh that you are actually loosing power. (with 25.5 at least) and also the durability factor is way better

Thanks! Also are you running the 12.5mm rotor in your Trinity 25.5 motor?

I got my R3 kit in the mail a couple of days ago (we were away for a couple of days)

Should be able to start the build here in a while.

Thanks Mike. Looks a well thought out and well made kit!

Regards
BM

finally got to drive my new r3 today. running on the new crc black carpet with super high bite. car was good. had to take the camber to almost zero for traction rolling. no other real issues w/ setup.
I did clip a board going into the sweeper and broke the rear carbon axle and bent the motor shaft on my new motiv 25.5. pretty bummed about the motor. at least the car drove good. driver still needs done work.

What tire combo were you using on the black carpet?
