Just spoke with Dale. He finished up the photo shoot this morning, photos will be up soon. Do you want to see pics of a clear body, I got those!

Ooh look, I started a little debate. Not having a body sponsor, I wasn't sure if they look at things a little different. Obviously, being sponsored by Schumacher, I'm not going to another car. Same with motors or Batteries. But I just thought bodies being swapped out so easily and often and the cars being so aero sesative, it might throw a little curve into things.

does that mean you use frewer shells? considering they are distributed by schumacher. I dont think it is that good to have a sponsor make you run all there products . Unless that is the only product that they sell e.g protoform

You're exactly right. There are some tracks that some shells just don't work on for one reason or another. I think the best thing a body manufacturer can do is offer a few different bodies for various conditions, i.e. one for Low-bite tight track, one for tight carpet foam tire racing, one for high-speed flowing rubber tire.

The other real issues are brand of car and driving/set-up style. I for one was never a fan of the original Protoform Stratus. To me it just felt "dead" like it made very little downforce. My favorite PF body was the Alfa 2.0.

But as you can tell by my signature, I'm a Parma only guy now. The Parma Alfa has worked best for me under every situation I've run it. No offense to Dale, as his products are spectacular. I just never found a body that suited my particular needs in his line-up.

As a sponsored driver you have to weigh the potential consequences w/ each sponsor if you don't make the main. I understand the manufacturers' concerns, but there are some instances in which a driver may have to run a new product in order to satisfy the bulk of his/her sponsors by making the show.
you beat me to it! LOL...

until this season, I have never run any other body- (unless it came in a kit).. Unfortunately, i found out the hard way that another body had a definate advantage. If it was a small difference i wouldnt have kept it on. But when I go from not enough steering AND traction rolling to almost an oversteer and not traction rolling it makes it tough to run the other. When i found this I immediately tried the ALFA 2.0.. which fixed the traction roll.. but was down in tenths.

The main thing is that I immediately emailed Dale and told him.

That's my whole point too Keith! It is very important that sponsored racers do they're absolute best for their sponsors (unless their microphone junkies like myself), AT EVERY RACE THEY ATTEND. Dale is a pretty understanding cat. As I recall before the release of the Speed 12, alot of his drivers were running the Parma Speed 8, I would assume guys like Doseck and Ezrow gave Dale the feedback he needed to design the Speed 12. Sponsorship isn't always about race results, it's also about R&D.

Hopefully Pulfer and I can make it up to Toledo and run with you guys sometime soon Keith.

No, I don't run Frewer and neither do any of the team drivers to my knowledge because they don't have a competitve TC body out. I also run Novak ESC's right now instead of Keyance. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I've been running GT7's since they came out and am very comfortable with them. I probably will switch to Keyance sooner or later. Like I said, I think bodies are a little different.
