Default Novak GTX Qs

I have a question in regards to the GTX Novak used to use the translucent orange casing and changed it due to it cracking.

Why have they used it again? Or is this a stronger plastic?

Also has anybody had any problems with there GTX?

The cases seem to be holding up pretty well. Not sure what kind of impacts your cases have sustained but so far so good.

The GTX is an Excellent Speedo...if setup according to the instructions it will perform!

Good luck,

I have fitted 3 GTX speedos in touring cars so far and they all work great.

And believe me they have had some bashing.

And we've had some pretty good results with them 2. 10 national wins from 12 and the other 2 were second places.

It doesn't get much better than that.

I've used anything from 23 turn to 6 turn motors with them and they haven't fried any motors. In fact they have been totally reliable, so I wish you would explain.

To answer some questions:

The reason we didn't use the transluscent material on the GT7 was because the material just didn't like the shape of the switch slides on the sides of the case... it just didn't want to flow correctly and didn't "give" enough to come out of the mold easily...so that's why we went with the nylon ...

The GTX's case was specifically designed with this material in mind and haven't had any major case issues.

The GTX defaults to profile 3, but if you want more punch out of your stock/19t motors you should try profile 2 and if you still need more try profile 1. I would definately monitor the condition of your motor after changing profiles though due to the fact that the lower drive frequencies are oftentimes associated with being harder on motor life/run time.

i never said the gtx was a bad esc infact I would put it on the top 3. I personally know of at least 4 people that have had issues with the outer case being too brittel. either the esc case split open or the one touch button on the side was shoved in beyond repair. Mine happens to be the worst case the outer cace is in at least 6 pieces and the esc wll no longer turn on. Granted it was during a tie up with other cars and the wall. but for the 2 week i had it ....IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

I heard the translucent case was changed back on the GT7 becuase showed up all the pcb/heatsink mods that looked ugly also schokky strapped outside in wires etc. plain orange case hides it all.
