Default Year Round Carpet Racing?

I am wondering if any of you are aware of tracks that offer year round carpet racing, and if so how successful they are at keeping a good crowd all year.

The track I race at is year round indoor carpet, but it dies off a lot during the summer .. off road season kicks in and lots of people run that or nitro on-road when the weather is nice.

Yeah I have looked around the web for the tracks that do race the rug year round and that kinda seems to be the case I am afraid. The carpet just seems to be something we do because of the weather prohibits anything outdoors. I don't really see a whole lot of carpet racing out west or down south where they can get out all year long. Maybe it's something we midwesterners came up with in order to race in the winter?

Yeah I have heard about that. I didn't realize it was going to be pavement inside though. I am down around Peoria.

In Cleveland, we run on the rug all year long!

Last summer we were getting about 25-30 entries on a weeknight. We did only have races every 2 to 3 weeks though.

During the winter we will get about 60 entires on an average Sunday. That number fluctuates more around big races (Indoor Champs, Novak, Nats, etc).

I see that your from IL.

Take a trip up to S&N Trackside in Milwaukee. They have carpet racing year round, and although attendence does drop off a bit in the summer ( due to nitro, offroad, ect. ) it still draws a decent crowd - a large enough crowd that it was still worth the hour drive for me.

Yeah I am aware of Trackside, but like ya say, their attendance drops way off in the summer too. I guess ya just have to try to do enough business in the winter months, that it can carry you through the summer months.
