Default Eagle racing CDC charger

i just ordered one, ive heard its very bad. it looked good to me when i purchased it and it had a good review by someone who had bought one previously. i need input. i think you have to be very careful with its settings.

Ive never had a problem with it, works great. The only problem I know of is that the back light starts to go after a while, it comes on sometimes and other times it doesnt. Ive heard it just a bad connection and that you can open it up and get it to wrok again. Someone also said that integy sent them a new screen free.

The version 6 is a great charger and yeah...... the only problem I have is the back light going on and off at its own will .....but it does its job very well.

You'll notice that the cells do get quite warm if you use the boosting function to charge the cells from zero. I only use it just before a run......'cos sometimes I charge my cells a nite before track days and repeak them at the track. This boosting function will discharge the cells for 'bout 20 - 30 sec and revert back to charging. The short discharging cycle sort of "warmup" and reactivate the cells getting it ready for running....

The discharging function.....well......its just an opinion......I find my GFX gives me a more consistent reading than the CDC.

Hope these infor helps.

sounds like ive ordered myself a nice charger. cant wait until it gets here. what i find amazing is that it has more features than my LRP pulsar sport yet it costs a lot less. i think LRP charge a lot for labour or something.

You'll find your cell packs more "punch" with the CDC.

Congratulations! It's an excellent charger, and I'm extremely happy with mine. In the US it's called Integy 16X5v6. Search the forums for that name, and you should find plenty of positive feedback.

In fact, there is an integy forum for that very charger. Search around in the electric onroads forums and you should be able to find everything that you need.
I have yet to experience any problems with my integy charger, and I have had it for four months. I leave the sucker on almost all day long and the backlight is still going strong.

The CDC chargers are made by Eagle Racing in Japan. If you remove the Integy Sticker on the right side of the display you will see the original Eagle Racing sticker underneath. Look closely at youi Integy model and you can see the white boarder of the Eagle racing sitcker. I bought 2 of these bad boys in Japan and they have been great for 1.5 years.
Great chargers!
