A locked diff that has no differential action

HPI only recetnly came out with their spool for the Pro4 so I can't wait to try it. I've never used one before but for the tracks I race at it should work great.

why does a tighter diff make the car handle more like it having a spool?

doesn't a tighter diff make the wheels want to unload more?

sorry i am the uber newb..... i never understand how anything works

yes you could but theres no point.

a diff costs between 30-40 and a spool costs about 20

if you was on about glueing your current diff then you'd ahve to get a spare (well you wouldnt HAVE to but it would be better) because you just glued your current one if you get what i mean...so its worth the extra 20 at the time to get a proper spool.

Default answer the question

RCnewb2004,
First if you plan to get a 415ms, there is only a ONE WAY available. There is not yet a option for a front diff, so you have to create one. This becomes alittle expensive with alternate parts from alternate cars. If you were to do it, you would need parts from the Yokomo Mrt4-TC. THey make the parts in plastic, and steel. If you were to make a spool from these parts, I would recommend gettin g the steel parts. But why go through all of that trouble, just buy a spool from SPEEDTECHRC.COM, when they are available. The 415ms is a very sophisticated race car, alike the X Ray, Mi2, and RDX. These may confuse you alot mor that the spool situation. Can I suggest maybe a X-Mod. Just kidding. Check out the 415 forum for more questions...

RCnewb2004, to the best of my knowledge, no you can not.
