Everyone had 10 races with thier best 8 to count, a throw out was exactly that. This ment that even though Steen won 10 out of 10 he could only count 8 wins. The tie was then decided on the fastest time by each driver. Marc ran a 28 305 to steen's 28 308.

David
Question about the race system:
What was the starting order every race, just random?
Was it a staggered start system or a grid start or something else?

Thanks in advance.
Chris

chris

The starting grid was rotating. Round one was simply 1 - 10 then round two was 2, 3, 4, 5 through to 1 at the back. This should have given everyone a fair start and chance in all thier races.

A nice report (in French) from the World Cup here:

http://www.overrc.com/courses/course...petcup2004.htm

You can see pictures of most of the top driver's cars. Some nice detail photos of some the latest Xray parts there aswell...including the "Worlds" bulkheads and short front arms, special chassis etc.
