Novak Ballistic 17.5, epoxied stator, +1300 rotor, open air can combo is a pretty good motor.

Default Team Powers 17.5

The Team Powers 17.5 looks really fast in Sedan both blinky and rampy at Nor-cal

For the days we only have 17.5 I will probably get a Team Powers 17.5 for 12th

The Reedy Sonic is insane. Until I made a mistake and let the smoke out ( I wont explain). And needless to say it is well worth it. Comparable (in MY opinion) to the X12.

To me the SP seemed to have a medium of speed and torque. But seemed slower on the top end compared to others I have tested. For boosted 17.5, I would go with either the TP, LRP, and Reedy. All seem to have good features and the right feel.. for me anyhow.

I would steal my neighbors dog for a +1300 rotor. Okay, the truth is my neighbors dog keeps getting out of it's yard and winding up in mine, but still....

So, I run boosted 17.5, looking for a new motor. Short list is duo 3, sp v3 mmm, and reedy sonic. I don't like the idea of timing inserts, so I'm concerned about the sp, and I can't seem to find the duo 3 in stock anywhere (my ideal choice). The reedy looks good too, but I dont know much about it.

My main concern is the timing on the sp, currently I have my tekin redline set at 0deg motor timing. How would that translate to the sp or other motors?
Duo 3 is available from www.mmrflux.co.uk you will need to email them as its not listed on their website

Get the new Orion VST pro stock 17.5 ASAP. The best 17.5 I have ever run , and I have run most of them. Including the ones you mention. I have had heaps of success with it. Loves rpm. Loves boost. You can't go wrong.

The X12 is not a bad motor, but lately there were a lot of bad motors around (at least in Germany). We experienced temperature, sensor and rotor problems driving it unboosted. So I would not recommend to buy one of these right now.

Cant say ive ever tried it with an RS. My best combo with an RS has been a Duo 1. Thing is weapon fast still on a bigger track.

I have an x12, but in boosted version reaches high temperatures and the performances are not up to the other engines.

GM pro stock and Speedpassion V3 for me are the best motor for 17.5 boosted
