Default DM-1 Spec E

I know this isnt the for sale side but just thought I would let yall know that I picked a used Ofna DM-1 Spec Electric roller from a guy and i have no use for it. It might only need a few things for it to be rtr. Also have a brand new set of tires and wheels that are still in the bags that they come in that havent been glued yet. Think they are the stock belted tires. Not sure though. When i get a chance itll be put under the for sale section. If someone is interested in it, shoot me a pm and i can text or email some pictures after this weekend. Thanks.

Tenshock motors rip!
and it depends if you want to run 6s or 4s
lower kv for 6s and higher kv on 4s
amazing power and a motor I need for my PMono race boat

From my experience racing 1/8 buggies I'd prefer running lower kv motors and appropriate gearing for more torque and punch off the line and tackling corners and jumps. Higher kv yields higher speeds but less torque. And at the same time you would need to have a more powerful lipo battery which adds to your weight.

Now on an 1/8 on road if you are doing drags and not circuit racing super high gearing, large kv, and the biggest lipo you can fit by sticking/zip-tie/strap/velcro onto your chassis the better lol. Just make sure your tires can handle it and that your body doesn't get lifted up by the air flow.

It's the DP8 that comes with the DM-1... but really it's a McLaren body.

you could slap a mamba XL-2 with a 2200 run it on 8S ,do the revo gear swap and call it a day if you trying over 100mph ..

my buddy whose on this forum said he cracked 100mph with dm1 with a mamba 2650 on 6S stock spur and biggest pinion he could fit . actually did 106 IIRC no aero mods and stayed on the ground .

that carbon fiber is just asking to be cracked into peices .. sure looks nice though

Obviously you've never worked with carbon fiber. If it "cracks into pieces" it's not carbon fiber, it's probably graphite.

I'm also not "just" trying to get too 100 where one run I can't and one I can and its unstable. I am doing it in a way that will work every time and be stable and consistent.
