reducing EPA was my plan of attack, just didnt know how far i could go without crippling the steering. i was down to 75% last night and they would still chatter.

Curious if it is a design flaw on the carrier, there is almost zero play when the wheels are straight, but you pass that point in steering and the top pillow ball goes loose.

The GPX 4 is a 1/10 scale and will not fit.
You may want to try :

After have lots of problem keeping the DM1 on the ground while going over 90mph. I came up with an idea of sealing bottom of the car by making a cover with a pegboard. I guess you can say it's more like a borrowed idea from Traxxas' X0-1. I wanted to test out this concept before I make a better version of it. To make a long story short, it really works. The DM1 was a lot more stable at high speeds. I guess this mod it not too bad for an hours worth of work.

I put the car over the wooden pegboard and traced the chassis on to the board so I will know where to cut.

Afer a few rough cuts, here is what I came up with.

Test fit the cover on the car, and it seems to fits okay. The board is held on with 4 cable-ties on each arm of the car. Then I duct tape the board to the chassis and covered all the holes with painters tape

After a few runs, this is how it looks.

Here is a video of the car with the lower chassis cover. It was was not at full speed when it past the radar gun. I tried to do a second pass but hit a reflector on the ground and crashed.

Smile New Owner!!

I just ordered a DM-1 Spec E after talking to a buddy trying to decide over that one or the GTP2e. He said I'd be better off with the DM-1 as he said it's more durable. I only plan on parking lot/empty street runs with a few trips to our 1/8 on-road circuit.

However the terrain mostly will not be clean for parking lots. There will of course be little pebbles, leaves, dirt, and rocks.

I have a spare MMM/2200kv combo laying around I plan on using along with a Hitec 7954SH (.12 sec 433oz/in @ 7.4V). Would this servo be okay or too slow? I come from rock crawling so all the servos I have are all over 300 oz/in. and none have a transit time of under .12 sec. I will probably need a CC BEC too right?

Any upgrades I should get right off the bat to make it stronger?

I'm the new proud owner of a DM-1 Spec E!! Not bad $229 shipped off tower. I plan on either purchasing a new MMM 2200kv combo or pulling it off my Rc8Be...

Running gear:
MMM 2200kv on 4s
Hitec 7954SH

Question is do I need a CC BEC? I plan on only 90% parking lot bashing with occasional practice runs at our 1/8 on-road track which is about 30 min away.

Of course the unboxing!! Man that is a sexy chassis and motor mount not to mention the sweet big bores are rear diffuser!!

Anything I need to upgrade right off the bat?

Can anyone explain how the motor mount is adjusted? Is the pinion range wide?

I beleive you adjust by the screws on bottom of chassis but I could be wrong, think you can go upto 24 tooth pinion IIRC
