Default GFX mod question

I've seen several post where the power cables on a GFX are rerouted out the back of the unit. In one case banana plugs where added to the back. I have already reroute the charger cables out of the front panel and like it much better.

My question is; when drilling through the heat sink do you remove it from the unit? If you do remove it, is it only the 4 or 5 screws that come off the circuit board

I routed my power cabels through the back of the gfx. I cut the alligator clips off it. You do need to take the heatsink off and drill the whole larger to fit both the fan wires and now the power wires through the whole. I removed the screws for the fets that mount to the heatsink and that's all you need, the heatsink pulls right out. You don't need to remove the screws that attach the board to the case.

Good luck, the gfx is much better with them coming out the rear not the side.

Thanks John,

It will be "upgraded" by tonight.

Might just add a colored fan while I'm in there.
