Default Traxxas 1/16th Race Truck/Rally

Hello
I just got the 1/16 scale Traxxas Kyle Busch Race Truck (exact same chassis as the rally car)

I want to race this on the clay oval track at my local hobby shop.

Here is my issue. The tires that come with it are very hard treadless tires. The truck spins out like a top. So, I ordered a set of the treaded rally tires. These are also as hard as concrete so the truck doesn't grip very well.
I screwed around with the suspension and the slipper trying to give it a little more rear traction with no luck.

Does anyone know of a tire that will fit the wheels for this truck that will give me more grip on the clay?

thx

Any 1/10th Touring car wheels and tires will fit the 1/16th Traxxas. That makes a huge selection including foams.

Don't forget we make a nice selection of bodies to fit also, including a Nastruck body and plenty of dirt oval bodies.

That is AWESOME to hear, thanks you! I had a feeling the touring car tires would fit, but I wasn't 100% certain.

Thank you for the link as well.. THis is gonna be exciting!

that's all i run on mine. i wasn't terribly impressed with the stock tires although as a nascar fan they do look pretty damn cool.

1/10 TC foam rubber it doesn't matter. Right now im running 26mm fronts and 30mm rear Foams from Exceed RC.

I see a lot of TC wheels that I like, but many of them have different offset. Which offset do I need to fit under the stock body?

at our track the rally class uses 0mm off-set hpi x pattern tires. if you do get them get the d compound not the pro
