Default Can you make a mini-T from only aftermarket parts?

I was thinking abou this. I'm Getting a mini-T but I'll want an standard radio/reciever servos and such..so My question is can you get a mini-T + computer radio for cheaper than buying a RTR mini-T then the radio.

I guess I don't know exactly wich parts are needed to replace everything that comes with the RTR kit so you don't have to pay for the electronics that I don't really need. If maybe someone knows this or knows where to find online assembly instructions I could see what all is involved.

It looks like you can get pretty much everything but the main chassis...but it's going to cost you $$$$

I don't know if you've seen this or not, but check this out.

Seems like a smokin' deal to me.

I'm sure it can be done, the chassis too. But why? If you get all aluminum stuff it's just gonna be heavy. Go with Li-Poly packs & a brushless motor and the thing with go like 70mph!

interesting actually the mini-T pro is about what I was looking for...hop up parts, minus electronics. I think that fits my bill.

about the aluminum chassis..yeah it would be heavier..if antyhing I'd do the graphite. But really right now I'm looking hard at the Mini-T pro version. I likes.
