Do these accelerate fast, top speed?
Any recomendations on kits/cars?

electric rc cars in theory should be able to go as fast as any other nitro car in a strate line.
now the trick is when you come to corners.
electrics also in theory should be able to corner faster then nitro.but this wont matter as there is not a class that you can race electric and nitro together.
so if you wnt the fastest electric car in the world get a 1/12 and a 4*1 motor and 12 cells and thebn you shjhould be pretty much there lol.

setting speed records is hard though...and way expensive. All your equipment must be absolutely perfect. Motors have to be hand built and kevlar wrapped extensively for the excessive RPM. You need atleast 12 of the same exact ultra super duper batteries. Special tires that can handle the RPM, a servo that can keep you going straight at those speeds. So many things have to go right for speed records to work.....but when it does, I'm sure its a blast!

4*1 is 4x1 which is the winding of the motor.....1 wire wrapped 4 times around each pole of the arm.

If you just want to spank your firend even with your rustler.....just get a D6 or Revolution 10x1, you wouldn't know what to do with yourself with all that power!

Heh wow, well im not looking for that fast I want something maybe 50mph-70mph range, with great torque/acceleration to rip around parking lots.
I like my rustler but i really want a car. I like the tc3 what motor and batteries would you suggest for some power? Or other car options I can look at?
Im on tower hobbies now, any other sites?

Your rustler isnt going to go anywhere near 70 mph no matter what you do to it.

Hi
TC3 is a good car start ..
If you get the RTR TC3 then you need to up grade the ESC, if you are useing low turn fast motor. the 8 turn motor would be fine for stright line speed... you've to make sure that you're useing proper gearing ( pinion size)

Sorry dude your ESC will not handle the 8 turn motor,it will over heat the esc.....you might get away with the 12 turn mod motor at the most

Start at the smallest pinion and work your way up....make sure the motor brushes isn't burnt and give the motor time to cool off or go to TC3 thread and ask question like ,what is the best gearing for 8 turn in the stright way speed
