I was running this one. it actually looked pretty good on the oval. Very Indy like. And quite quick.

Great looking car! Take off the McLaren stickers and it'll pass as a Penske! I guess I just like the older cars better, the McLaren and the Leyton House look really good, I like the low nose much better than the high nose. I just finished building my FGX and gotta figure out a paint job. I like your Red/White/Blue car and my base mine on it.

Just gotta find somewhere to race my F1's, South Carolina is not really a hotbed of F1!

The red white and blue one is my buddy's FGX. Just put your car on the track, people will notice. When I got my F109 in June, no one at our track had an F1. There are now 11 F1 cars that I know of. Every time there's a couple of F1s on the track it draws at least a few people to watch and ask questions. I truly believe that most people are closet F1 fans, they are just too scared to be the first to get one.

I hear ya! We've come close here in the past. There was a series in Nashville, and Atl that our track tried to support and couriously the series seemed to collaple after the first race

It's been talked about on and off here to the point I have a number of cars, so I'll take your advise and run 'em around on the track and see what I can catch!

Thanks, MX, but you must have me confused with someone else!

Sorry I missed your race at Battlefield. I hope to get over there in the future. You guys have done a great job on getting that goin, I only wish it was a bit closer.

Maybe we can have an F1 Series in the future between our tracks!

Good to hear from you!

Nope, just 600 miles and about $150+ for gas. Oh, and 20 plus hours of driving!

Let's see, five times to Toledo, twice to FLA (flew once) and then Cinci! DON'T even think about adding it up!

If it wasn't for the "nice" Burling, I'd have another grand in motels!

My cars are not "cheater" cars, there just built to a different set of rules!

You could come down here and try your hand at some banked oval racin'-southern style!!

So far they are running a version of VTA, WGT, and some ralley car class. Last sunday they had 40 entries. This week we are planning to add 6 F1 car to that.

Once I'm retired and have endless free time maybe I will come down there and try some banked oval racing. I will say this though. I bought my first ever oval car last year and had a blast with it for 3 weeks then it became boring so I sold it and bought a VTA car for Lon III to run this year.

SInce we don't agree on F1 rules that makes me the "mean" Burling?

I tend to agree that oval looks and can be kinda boring. BUT when you race with really fast guys and see how consistant and precice their lines and car set-ups are, you might be able to see the attraction. Variety, that's what makes the world go 'round (except F1 in Toledo ).

No, you're not "mean" 'cause you have a different opinion than I do (that would be small of me to think that way ). The context I meant it in had to do with SR's kind offer of a room, which made it possible for me to come up and have some great times and see him and other friends, I include you near the top of the list of friends, after all I raced for poop in Toledo, but you took me fishing and got me my BASS!!!!

It was a joke, really I apologize, but still don't like the F1 rules ;-P

Raced oval this weekend with 15 cars on the track. Anything but boring.
