I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched through the manual online but it didn't say, or I overlooked it.

Would someone be so kind as to tell me which tools are needed for one of these? I just bought an Xi (haven't picked it up yet), but I only have metric tools right now. Which size socket wrenches and hex drivers are required? They're all medieval, er I mean imperial, right?

Thanks in advance.

The new car is pretty different from the XI and will not be easily updated. We are looking to have the car released in time for IIC in Vegas. So it is not that far away. Expect to see a press release soon on our website www.teamcrc.com

LOL!! They seem OK to me... Must be because old guys like me can't run the rollouts you youngsters do.

Jason, better be ready to have the class double. There are 7 new CRC kits on there way to guys in Des Moines. That is awesome. Plus, it's cool that they all went w/CRC!

You will need .050, 1/16, 3/32 and .035 (just use the one in the kit) for hex drivers.

You will need 3/16 and 11/32 nut drivers.

You can use a 2mm to tighten the left wheel hub.

You will need a 2.5mm for the motor screws.

What takes an .035? I don't even own one but have never needed it.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have an original GenX that has been upgraded a bit at a time over the years. Though I'm now running a CEFX, I'm seriously considering bringing that car back out, it's just that badass.

1/12th is not TC, don't bother trying to keep up with the Jones's, just get what you have to work and drive the wheels off it.

speaking of press release......where's the customary full race report from the worlds? With 4 CRC's in the feature, one would think that there would have been a really juicy report on the website. Sedan racing taking up too much of your time these days?

Like Wingracer said don't worry about it. The Xi is a great car, and it will still be fast. I get one, but some times I like to struggle with the latest hotness or mess ;-/

Plus nothing like going to the IIC with a car that I might get to run a hand full of times before I get there.

One of the set screws in the damper tubes.
