Depending on what speed control you use there could be some room to move the battery around, yes. You can also mount the battery towards the front, and the speed control to the back to change weight bias.

just order a new xi car and I'm new to the road coarse seen. What electonics are you guys using? Probably going to run 17.5 open. I don't want to spend a ton in the car getting it ready. May only run it a hand full of times during the race season.
Thanks

as far as good speed controls for open classes, i like the hobbywing 1s or the speed passion because there is no need for a booster or receiver pack plus they are about 30 bucks cheaper then a tekin and they are just as fast and the throttle delivery is alot smoother, not bashing tekin because i still use one in my WGT car and its good also. Just my opinion.

Absolutely the JR3650 servo. Smallest and lightest of the "mini" servos. Size allows you more options in fitting the rest of the electronics on the chassis.

try hobbypartz.com if they have them in stock, they are selling like crazy right now, a friend of mine just came back from a big oval race last weekend and him and a couple others were doing some testing and found that the hobbywing is has the highest output of all the speedo's out there as well as the lowest resistance. its called the hobbywing xerun 1s. I ended up getting mine from an ebay store in china because nobody in the US has them in stock right now due to the demand of them. you an also try this UK store http://www.racersinexile.org.uk/XERU...0_2127148.aspx
