normally on any other charger you would have 3mv/cell thats 3mv x 8cells for the muchmore = 24mv.

so change your peak settings to 24-30mv and try charge again.
thanks.. i will try later..

Use from 21-30 depending on ambient temp, w/ a 51 degree temp cut. You can use the same mv for 6,7, and 8 amp charge.

ok the question still stand sense i'm getting different info from everybody , i got this email from Arun @ nexus racing : quote:

It is not per amp, it depends on how many cells you are using and how aggressive you charge. Delta peak is the amount the voltage drops before the charger considers the battery peaked.

0.006V is a more aggressive setting than 0.003V because it is bigger. If you charge at 10 amps, you might want use a lower delta peak to prevent cell damage. In other words: as you increase the charging rate (amps), you sometimes decrease the delta peak, but you never increase it.

0.006 for the pack is equal to 1mV/0.001V per cell…so to be consistent you would use a 0.007 for a 7-cell pack and 0.005 for a 5-cell pack on the Cell Master.

At 7 amps, I would use the same delta peak. At 8+ amps, I might lower it to 05 or so unless I’m charging in a cool area. If the cells do not get up to temperature in a cooler area, I would increase the delta peak little-by-little until they reach 120degrees right at the end of charge.

nexus is right, CTX-C the delta figure is the TOTAL voltage drop off.

nearly every other charger, the delta peak refers to a per/cell figure.

thats why on the ice a 0.3mv/cell for a 6 cell would be 18mv on the muchmore ctx-c.

so the muchmore can delta peak in much finer increments (higher resolution)

i got this example from nexusracing website:quote:
While you may use a 0.03V (30mV) delta peak setting on a CE Turbo 35, you will use somewhere around a 0.006V (6mV) setting on the Cell Master.

Data Conversion Table:

delta peak: decimal: fraction: input setting on cell master:
30mv 0.030v 30/1000 30 delta peak
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
3mv 0.003v 3/1000 03 delta peak
of a volt

Default power supply

Hello all,

I have a question about power supplies for my cell master. Just purchased a Radio Shack 23 amp power supply that works Great with my Tekin and Novak chargers, however when I hook up my Cell Master to it I get an error message. If I hook it up to my 10 amp power supply my Cell Master works great.

My Cell Master is All Black and does not have the magnetic temp probe. Do any of the newer versions have this Problem? And can this be fixed easily or do I have to send it in for a software or component upgrade?

thanks.

It should work great with that P/S. Is there a switch on the P/S to convert between 12V and 14V? What is the error message?

the way i understand it on the muchmore you set the cut off at 3mv a cell witch is .12 on the screen
on the gfx you can only set it to .01 witch is like 10 on the muchmore
this is for 4 cell.
for 6 cell its 22 and on the gfx .02 witch is like 20 on the muchmore.

so you can say that the gfx dos not charge the cells fully but really will you notice this NO

fwik "Platinum Edition" only refers to the reverse-colored screen (black/white display). Otherwise, all the features are the same as the standard unit.

i could be wrong tho...
