What front springs are you running? Camber? It doenst take a lot of camber to make the car nervous and hard to drive.

I just put my IIC Setup on the xray web page today as well

EA
3.5 front springs and 1,0 camber.

I have tested a bit further - se "version 2" setup on XRAY - Ok, but it was on nearly worn out rear tires. I has a tendency to overturn midturn and out of turns.

Have on new tyres (42/44.5) tried the same set-up but with the soft silver sidesprings, and it worked ok also - no significant changes in the cars behaviour.

Have today tried your frontend (with 5 active caster and 2 mm shim in front and 1+0.5 in back) and 1 degree castor (tires wear flat). Miss a bit of initial turn in, but way better and more controlabel mid turn and out of turns. Overall also a bit more stable and very easy to drive. Overall a bit slower than with the more agressive frontend set-up.

Will on tuesday try with 10k (green tube sponge) in tubes, gold centerspring and sidesprings and see what happens. Also play a little with sidespring load to se how it affect the initial turn in in corners ... and perhaps get the missing amount of turn in that way

Kind regards; Jens

PS. Almost everyone else drive 30k or 40k in tubes and sidespring/centerspring to the hard side at my track - all drive dbPink front and Pink rear - in their cars /Top, BMI Copperhead and Serpent LT).

Is the diff and Axle, the same as the X11, I was going to grab one of these as a spares car. It's costing me $100 so I thought it'd be worth it.

Is anyone using the new Spring Steel rear axle yet? Any comments on how it compares to the graphite axles in regards to true-ness, weight, etc?

It's getting time to replace my 12L3 / Speedzone saddle pack combo;
For a variety of reasons, the X12 is looking interesting.

I've gone through the manual and have some questions:
1) Are the rear ride height adjustments standard (AE/CRC) or unique to X-Ray?
2) Which front strings come with the kit? The manual lists which come in the kit for the shock and side springs, but doesn't indicate which of the 4 options (gold, silver, black, and/or grey) the kit has in the front.
3) How much pinion range does the motor mount have? The slots look really small, as if not much range. For example: would it handle a pinion range of 15 teeth (64p)?

Thanks.

I'm thinking about getting into 1/12 scale racing and i like the Xray a lot but the kit chassisplate is it suitable for lipo use or do i need to buy another lipo chassis?
And is it a 64 or a 48 pitch for spur/pinion?

Kind regards

3) How much pinion range does the motor mount have? The slots look really small, as if not much range. For example: would it handle a pinion range of 15 teeth (64p)?It has plenty of adjustment. I dont know xact number but it has not been an issue in any class Ran. I would guess at least 10 teeth.

Thanks.

Its 100% Lipo ready. Nothing else needed! 64 pitch 96 tooth is what comes with it.
