Default sky charger battery reviews

Hello. I am working on making my rustler brushless I just bought a mamba max pro esc from someone on here. Got a losi 6400KV motor and looking for a charger and battery pack.

I am thinking about this for the charger
SkyCharger 6200 200W Multifunction LiPo/LiFe(1-6S) NiMH/NiCD(1-18S) DC Charger/Balancer

and this for the battery
SKY LIPO 5000mAh 40C 7.4V Hardcase Lipo battery pack

Both items are sold at hobbypartz

What is your thoughts on these 2 items? Junk? good budget item? great item?

maybe it is too early, but i could not see what the warranty was.personally for a budget charger i would stay with duratrax. charging amps are slightly less, however more versatile with 110 and 12v inputs and warranty coverage of 5 years. be careful as i have seen a few with only a 30 or 90 day warranty.
good luck and have fun

do you think the Turnigy Accucell-6 Battery Charger be a better charger?

i don't really know much about either of the chargers you listed. may be better off posting in the electronics section.
when i look for a charger, i list all the the features that are important to me. then i put a number on what i am really willing to spend. keeping in mind that you really do get what you pay for. i also look at length of warranty as well as where i have to send it to get it serviced.
have you gone to your lhs ? mine will not not even stock some of the "budget chargers" as they will just lead to ticked off customers in the long run. i am blessed in that area as i have a great relationship with my lhs,as they are also racers. own the local on road track and treat all racers with extraordinary discounts and service.

Nah I have not dealt with the local hobby shop. I am not a fan of local shop's they know they are local they know its either them or online and they take advantage of that. same reason I dont buy car audio from bestbuy. I am a online shopper where you can shop all over the world by just a click.

what u said about the numbers. I am new to lipo and brushless. Ive been running brushed so when it comes to numbers I am not 100% sure what is good. also just because it says a number does not mean that number is true thats why I was hoping someone had some personal experience with this stuff. I think im get me that turnigy charger I watched some youtube videos on it and it seems nice. and for batterys May go with those sky ones or find me some turnigy's......SHould I fab up a metal box to put my lipo's in for storage and charging?

i use a small metal briefcase to carry my lipos, motors and rotors in. but for charging i reccomend a lipo sack purposely made for charging lipos. such as

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but how did that sky rc charger work out for you?
Did you need an external power with this charger?
