Hi,
Are the new front springs 1/12 size or 1/10 size?

You can use the new springs on 12th and 10th. They are .020" longer than a short Associated spring.

Would this body be legal for World GT? It is 200mm wide and would fit the Speed Merchants car well.

It's a discontinued body no longer in production by the original manufacturer. I had one left and sent it to a company that reproduces out of production bodies and sells them on Ebay. They will be reproducing it-should be ready in a little over a month.

Hi Ed,

The body should fit fine, as long as it's 200mm wide.

The body isn't legal for National level racing, but I doubt anyone would give you a hard time if you wanted to club race it.

The initial rule package for WorldGT was front engine/rear drive car bodies.

Post a pic when you get yours mounted. We would love to see it.

Good luck.-Bruce

My first day of WGT went as expected. Plenty of growing pains but a lot of fun. Luckily there are 2 speedmerchant guys on hand to help me out. By the time the main rolled around, they had my car working very well. Knocked .7 off my lap times. I'll get some more exp and lap times should continue to drop.

Come see me next time you race Jason. I am sure we can get you another .7! I'll also be there Monday for practice.

Wish I could take advantage of the Monday practices but I'm still on night shift. Killing my racing.

Thanks for the parts Bruce
Nice improvement in drivablity this week
Especially with .018 front springs

I should also note, this car is setup with inline axles, have never run a 1/10th car with offsets that worked for me on the rug
But I will try them next time, just to see what it's like
Car is still a bit tipsy with -2 camber, in the front of the run
Has massive corner speed with 72% D/R
Tire coning is nearly nill now
This thing barely slows down, even on 180s

Feels like a cheater car compared to my bud Sean's CRC

I got the new springs in .019, .020 and .021 and the optional shock mounts. What kind of performance changes am I to expect with the shock mounts? What are the characteristics of each one vs stock?

Default TQ 2nd Anniversary Race

Well we only had 4 cars in WGT Sunday, but it's nice to see the class gaining momentum again

The WGT3 was quite simply the easiest car I ever had the pleasure to drive
Once the track grooved up, everything came into place
Front tires even lasted longer than they did on my 10R5, this car is so efficient
Unbelievable, can't believe I was missing out on this for so long

Props to Bruce @ SM for a job well done

meant to get pics up of this awhile ago, car that won Roar Nats in Texas I believe Bruce has full race report/pics/setup coming in the next few days with it.

Car is incredible, also ran it last week at our season ending Trophy event in NY. Car was .2 to .3 sec. per lap faster than competition (Xrays and Crcs).
