Great question Dave!

Anyone have any idea about the availability of the new front end and also is there a World GT 4 coming out that will include the new front end?

Thanks! Jeff

Do these come as a complete car or a conversion of somthing else? I have two 12r5.1's i might want to sell or convert sometime soon. with stock 1/12 being blinky now i think wgt would be more fun.

I would recommend a WGT3 Sport kit, with Machined old school front end

I was wondering how the front end on this car worked.. all the pancars i see have some kind of dynamic caster and moving upper arm.

sport usually means cheaper... is there a full competition kit i could get? or does the sport simply require a front end or somthing? ill look around the site some more but from my 5 minute browse i have these questions =)

Sport just means old skool front end, the formula is a bit more complicated front end, both are great but the old skool is so easy and fast, track record at my local track is held by the old skool front end

I dont see a listing for formula.. the idea of the old school front end is appealing. minimal fuss. I could buy a custom and vulture one of my 12r5's. front end seems to work really well . the custom looks appealing as well but hubs cost as much as the price difference heh.

going from a 12r5 to the rev7 sport (1/12 with old school front end), I can say I prefer the old school front end. There is a way to fit the 12r5 front end on the car if you want that option, as I know a few who did this on the 1/12. Not exactly sure what goes into it.

Hyperdrive makes the blocks, that's all you need, old school is so nice, like ronco- set it and forget it haha

I have run that for 8 years, the new machined ones make it foolproof
Not a single disappointment

WGT3 still going strong. Two big races in the season adds two more wins to the WGT3's resume.

First up Craig Xavier TQ and win in vegas with Dave Berger also in the main finishing 6th.

And most recently Steve Boice taking the win in Cleveland starting from the 6th position. Craig Xavier also making the main finishing 8th. Steve's wining car,

I've run with an R5 front end, didn't think it could get much better
Till I installed the Old Skool setup, so much more precise, and predictable, especially in high load, high speed turns

I prefer the OS front end with 12th scale too, but on a WGT it's more important due to the extreme grip from the larger wheels

not to mention it saves over 20g

Its not in my budget this year but definitely to consider next season as i want to replace the 12r5s.
Gonna pony them down to someone who wants to try racing i hope.

So if i buy he sport i get the old school front end and do i need anything else? Is here an advantage to the machined parts?
I can appreciate simplicity. I haven't bothered to mess with my r5 front ends. Boths cars have had he same setup there for years and it doesnt seem to deviate too much for the pros either.
Having that kind of universal setup "cast" into the car might be a pretty decent advantage =]
