Motor Notation eg. 14 X 3 .. What does it mean?

Hi all r/c players.. I got a question .. What does the notation 14 x 3 on the motor meant?

3 strands of wire wrapped around the armature 14 times.

So a 12x1 would mean....1 wire wrapped around the arm 12 times.

The more wires wrapped, the more top end...the less wires wrapped the mroe torque.

I'd cut him some slack... It's like 9 hours earlier from where he is to the UK... :D

So whats the fastest out of these 11x2 13x2 15x2 17x2 in fastest i mean top end

An 11x2 should be the fastest in top end.... There are factors like batteries and what esc you have also.... The 17x2 will be faster than the 11x2 after about 3 minutes....:D

If you've got the power to support an 11x2....than go for it. But You'd be just as fast with a 14x3 and it wouldn't be as hard on your stuff.
