Xray T3 2012

Thanks for the input EA, I've just contacted the LHS and is waiting for their reply.
It's cool though. Things like this do happen once in a while. Will keep you updated.
My only worry is that because I'm in Brunei, RC services are usually not as comprehensive as those in the states and elsewhere.

Tried the Tamiya TRFs on my T2'009 but the top joint is too short so the top of the shock touches the shock tower and didnt move freely. Since I didnt want to modify the TRFs I switched back to the plastic shocks. Now for the T3'012 I bought myself the Alu Xray shocks for xmas.

Bare in mind those aren't the only parts you would need to change plastic shocks over to alloy versions!
Look at this diagram compared to the exploded diagram for the '12

On the '12, the TRF shocks move around freely and don't bind on the towers. I used the Tamiya cap and hardware on the shock tower, but the springs/retainers/bottoms are XRay. Looks great with the Exotek bits.
The fluorine ball nuts (53599) are gray, so they blend in nicely. There's also (84013) black. Too bad Exotek didn't make some in orange.
