Make sure you sand the slots in the chassis that the tape passes through. Otherwise, the sharp edges of the CF will cut through the tape.

I use the Top orange tape! Looks cool too!

Dear all

Had a chance to try some set-up combinations yesterday. The best result / lap time came from using the longest FRONT camber link which improved mid-corner steering a lot. Harder FRONT spring was also required or the car pushed during high speed to U-turn entry.

Steering response also improved a bit when adding bump steer to 3mm.

On-power steering still push and no improvement.

Sounds like your front tires are overheating. Likely have to adjust your setup a little.

There's a ton of things you can do all the way from saucing a little more (longer) on the fronts and turning down your dual rate, ackerman, front roll center. Basically, I've controlled front tire temps by adding front grip and not letting the front tires slip so much (friction makes heat). Or you can work on losening the rear of the car overall to get better rotation without excessive steering input.

Does this mean these are lower than the stock clamps?

OK.ill try soaking them longer.I like a lot of steering. When I turn my dual rate down I loose time in the tighter sections. Thanks for ur input.

I have spent a lot of time with the T3 2012 over the past few weeks and I can tell you that it is one of the best cars I have ever run ( I have owned and run over 30 touring cars). It is great to work on and the car really works on the track. If you are considering a new touring car this car should be it...

The changes from the 2011 to the 2012 are very significant, and it shows on the track.

I have yet to run it outside, but inside on the carpet has been a great experience.

Looks like I will be buying a second T3 2012 here soon

I know I have been a hater, but running this car has really changed my view on the Xray platform. Looks like Xray really got it right with this car.

I was told to stand shocks up more to prevent push through a corner.
It makes the tyres bite more through the corner. If grip comes up and the car starts to hook, start to lay them back down.

It worked for me.
