I'm pretty sure I'll be buying one as soon as they are released.
Steve, I'll be asking for your assistance with getting the rear gear diff as buttery smooth as yours always is.

No worries Dave

The great thing about the Xray gear diff is that you build them as the instructions indicate, and its like butter (nothing special needed). Just gotta add a spacer or 2 to shim the outdrives to get a better seal.

All-new 2012 Specs:

NEW chassis designs
NEW redesigned top deck
NEW front shock tower
NEW rear shock tower
NEW upper bulkheads
NEW gear differential
NEW steering blocks
NEW servo saver
NEW ball joints
NEW servo position
NEW optimized shock positions
NEW optimized chassis flex
NEW roll center positions
Improved steering characteristics
Increased traction
Improved chassis balance

only 2 optimized parts? doesn't sound worth it to me

Yeah, I'd prefer aluminum shock bodies too, but hey, they have to save something for 2013

At the price point how could Xray possibly include aluminum shock bodies!

The plastic doesn't bug me so much. It's just that they're unnecessarily complicated, and hard to build consistently. Why copy everything off a Tamiya but the shocks, arguably the best part?

Default how thrilling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does make me laugh that xray are keeping wraps on the 2012!

BTW I love my t3'11.

It would be nice if xray went back to a silver coloured car - I don't like orange.

What is rather nice is that I will no doubt be able to upgrade to the new shock towers, and the chassis which will be retofitable.

Maybe Xray should try and prise Mark Rheinhard of Tamiya

Obviously we'll find out when pictures are posted, but I'm betting the only differences we'll see in the shock towers will be the removal of the QRC holes, since they'll be unnecessary with the new upper bulkheads.

Chances are, the only thing I'd upgrade on my T3'11 to T3'12 parts would be the bits needed to rotate the servo, and the gear diff.

I'm curious what they felt needed changed on the steering knuckles though.
