I use a small drop of locktite and then dab it on a papertowel before inserting steel screws into aluminum bulkheads (works with offroad too). It provides just enough stability without making it extremely difficult to remove the screws later. I also highly recommend buying a screw extraction kit for when the heads do strip out.

Anyone here not using anti rollbars? After a suggestion by my colleague (who also doesn?t use them with another car) I removed them and instantly had a better feel with the car. My friend finished second (and with one of the top Large Scale drivers in the world driving with us that is considered to be a victory here
) and I am confident if the adjustment period wouldnt be that long my result would be better aswell. Note that we use foam tires

It's really too big, the teeth will protrude below the chassis, you could get away with running it on carpet but you will have to drive super smooth and not got over any dots or barriesr and run your ride height around 5.4R and 5.2F so that you don't risk the chance of cutting the rug. As for running it on asphalt, forget about it! If you want to run a big gear a 116 will suffice.
roger999 I suggest that as you allready have the spur gear, at your next rebuild do a test fit and see.

I would have thought that when using foams, the speed that the car changes direction etc would mean that roll bars should improve balance even more than running on rubber

A local Xray Team driver looked over my car recently and suggested I remove both bars one night when we had poor traction (carpet/rubber) and I was struggling with the car being just a bit loose (after being on rails just the week before). The next race, the car was glued to the track.
Back in the day, I used to struggle with anti-roll bars on my FT TC3. I wanted to run them simply because they were a FT part and they looked cool on the car lol. But, in my case, the car always seemed looser with bars than without. Yesterday, we went to the track for a bit of practice and I removed the bar from my Mini M03 too and it also helped that car. Again, just my opinion, but I feel that if you are running a fast, high traction track, I can see a benefit to them. If you're running a slower, loose track, I feel they are actually a bit of a hindrance.

I used to play with sways, run with, run without . Now I play with sway bar diameter. the sway bars help your car to run flat through the corner. when one tire is loaded (being raised by shock and wishbone) the sway bar raises the opposite side causing the car to corner flatter. The greater the difference in load between the outside and inside tires the less lateral grip those 2 tires will make.
Try running different thickness front and rear, smaller diameter more traction.
So 1.2 rear and 1.4 front will yield more rear traction.

Yes i think that is a good idea, but i fitted it last evening put a car on a flat surface and when was trying to move a spur didnt move freely. Thats why asked here.

Never put yourself into a hole where just because a "team" driver never posts a setup with a setting that it isn't useful. I've gone back and forth with and without sway bars on various cars, and its just like any other setting, it is useful in certain conditions. If you take your shocks off and move the suspension you get an idea of what they do, and how much articulation it takes before they even do anything. Most of the time team drivers are only posting setups from tracks with ideal conditions and their setups tend to only vary with small changes.
