Yes, but why should I eat 3 shipping charges when the US IMPORTER for Xray lets the "pipe run dry" for whatever reason? "JIT" delivery is great......"better late than never" delivery stinks.

Show me an USA importer of any other car that doesn't have the same issues, it's all part of being a niche "hobby" market.

I can't comment on that as my last 3 cars have all been Xrays.

RC America really does seem to have trouble keeping adequate stock (or stock at all). I tried to order a hudy setup station forever. Finally decided I would just go direct to RC America and pay the premium price. Called and they were out of stock and it was coming "next week". Called back next week and was told 2 weeks. Called back after 2 weeks and was told "2 weeks", etc. Finally A Main got them in stock so RC America must have gotten some.

Talked to my LHS and they tell me that is fairly common for RC America. They have trouble getting parts often for customers from them.

Sometimes I wish Nexus just became the distributor.

I agree, seems that part s for this car is really hard to find. You would think since it's the most popular car, everyone would have good stock on parts.

Thats why nobody has good stock, theres to high of a demand and the manufacture and importer (RCAMERICA) cant keep up with it, therefore making it seem like they are slow but in reality people just buy the parts out so fast that there is usually none left.

People are buying the parts so fast due to slow restock. Better to have then not too.

I worked in a hobbyshop for a while and even when we had TONS of xray parts, they'd be gone within a matter of a few days, not a matter of fast restock or not. We had the same problem with AE stuff and we always were restocking the AE stuff and it typically sold fast then anything else! Its not a matter of restock speed. its a matter of how popular the 2012 is. Litterally every car in the 17.5 sedan class is an xray 2011 or 2012. Its just TO popular of a car. I speak from experience. another thing is that everybody is saying that RCAMERICA is a slow importer, try dealing with the others when trying to order new stock for the Hobbyshop. Get a job at a hobbyshop, work there for about 1 year and a half, then get back to me about XRAY being the "slowest" importer out there. Not trying to start anything here, simply trying to make my point clear.

Sorry, but your point really isn't clear to me. I still don't see how all hobby shops and sites can't keep up. I know products will go out of stock and possibly back ordered, but for months............ ? There isn't anything that can explain this. Not sure who's at fault, but needs to be looked into.

By the way I worked as a operation and logistic manager for over 5 years . I handled medical supply's being imported from china, Malaysia, and Japan. I have just never seen anything back ordered for months before. It doesn't take that long to make most products. But there is no need to keep going back and forth with this. It still isn't making parts get to us any faster. It's still a great car. Actually the best TC I have driven.

9 times out of 10 its the shops or online stores fault because they fall behind on parts due to lack of employee knowledge such as what is happening at my LHS ever since i left. I was about the only RC specialist who would order parts. now that im gone, they fall behind constantly, other shops suffer from the same thing.
