Default RP Racing Tires

The price of these tires looks good, are really an alternative to Sorex tires?

These tires are worth trying. Composition-wise they feel rubbery like the TakeOff but shape similar to the Sorex.

From the RP units I have tried, they seem more similar to the Take Off in terms of grip.

Hi Guys,

We tested the tires before we started selling them on indoor asphalt (high bite) and out door asphalt (medium bite) and they worked equally as well as sorex in my opinion. Very good grip and wear. They are definitely a contender for serious racing competitoin.

KinzR,

Hey call me and tell me when the next SoCal trip is planned. I'll try and talk Nick D. into getting his stuff out! I'm moved into the new house and ready to race again.

later......Greg

We've sold all the good tires over the last couple of years. from Yokomo to shimizu, take offs, ride, hpi, etc...

Nothing comes close to Sorex...
So I doubt these new RP tires do...
but they are making noise

I guess we have to wait and see if the fast guys actually use em

KinzR,

Yup, I ran them at SoCal and they worked really well (especially on the first 2 runs) The key thing with the RP tires they are sealed from the factory so the rubber stays fresh until the moment you open up the package. I ran the 36R compound during practice and let a few racers tried them (they all seem to like them ) and then I ran the 40R compound for qualifying and main, just as good as the 36R
