Can I extend these wires?
I bought this Tam Associated brushless motor and esc but noticed the guy soldered them together directly. Normally I use bullet connectors but I don't have any right now. Anyway, I can't solder them together because they won't bend to allow me to put the esc in the right spot on the chassis. Anyone have ideas?

you can solder the wire together as a temporary fix until you get some proper connectors. Obviously you will need to shrink wrap, or tape the joints.
For everything you will ever need to know about soldering http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...ef-lesson.html |
Ok so you agree that this is not the proper way to connect the two components. I may go tomorrow to get some bullet connectors. I have a bunch of males for some reason but no females.

I wouldn't say it's improper but it will make your life easier having connectors as that motor doesn't have easily accessible solder tabs.

Cool. Thanks a lot!

Solder is the best way to do it. Just use two bits of heatshrink. One to level up the bits of cover on the other wires and then a bit over the whole joint.
