Default Kyosho Turbo Optima - Full Onroad Conversion

EDIT: I originally posted this to see who could guess this chassis; now that everyone knows, I updated this thread accordingly.

Here's something you'll probably never see twice...this project took over 8 months to complete, and has too many mods, upgrades and fabricated one-off parts to mention. Can anyone guess what's hiding under that AAR 'Cuda body?

A few hints...the chassis is 25+ years old and began life as a 4WD offroad buggy getting a full onroad conversion...plus my avatar pic. I'll answer in 24 hours with some naked pics and more info.

Full build details here

I'm guessing a very custom RC10DS. I'm more than likely wrong though!

The way to motor mount looks, it could almost be an FF03 turned around as a rear drive??? Which would be VERY different

RC10 with one of the many 4wd conversions available back then? Neat anyways!

Original Optima/ Javelin / Salute with rear motor possibly chain drive or belt conversion or Taiwanese Beagle knock off.

RC10 with MIP 4wd conversion. (doubtful because they were awful and not as durable as the Optima. I know because I had one.)

100% it's an optima!!!

1st pic side on view, look at the alloy front plate bumper support through wheelarch. That always used to bend like a drinking straw though a new blue one has been fitted.

Kyosho Optima with lots of blingy aluminium. Rear roll bar mounts give it away.

I'll vote optima due to the rear motor set up
