From the site:

Length:
13.4" (340mm)

Width:7.3" (185mm)

Height:
4.5" (114mm)

Wheel Base:
8.3" (211mm)

Maybe someone could chime in if this is good for cooper? I'm guessing it would be a bit too wide, the wheels would look very recessed?

From someone who's already tried..

The wheelbase is pretty much dead on for a SWB M03/05 chassis.

But yes, the shell is a little wide. Even with 6mm hexes on a Mini chassis you still have probably another 4-5mm or so of...nothing

It's not too bad, on the Ford Focus Rally shell I can live with it. And if you're super-keen you can always get a set of Ride 4mm offset wheels to compensate.

No spacers, no offset wheels - fit TL01 arms and upper links, steering links and driveshafts and you'll have a 185mm wide mini.

Isn't it specifically made for the Traxxas Rally??

Someone in the mini thread put it on his mini. Not too bad, but definately too wide.

Why don't they make these in 190-200mm chassis form, a missed chassis size i think

Dale, please consider making any of these for the FF class.
Considering how fast the class is growing (Tamiya, TOP, 3Racing, Serpent...with more joining soon) we need more realistic 185-190mm wide FWD bodies.

- Volvo C30 WTCC
- Chevrolet Cruze WTCC
- Seat Leon WTCC
- Ford Focus BTCC (new model)

Would like to see a pic with the offset wheels

I dig the shell, but being so wide as it is, it would eliminate the one trick every mini cooper driver knows: when she gets up on her side, give it full throttle and steer like crazy ... faster than waiting for a marshal to get you back on four wheels.

That being said, I would love to see this in a mini-specific size.

kentech:
Thanks for the heads-up on the FF class. I had no idea that this class was there .....or popular for that matter. It's sometimes hard to keep up with all the various trends in on-road racing around the world.
On the Tamiya web site it shows 3 different wheelbase configurations (see below) Which is considered "standard" or popular with all the other manufacturers?

FF-03 Pro Specs & Features
1/10 R/C assembly model kit.
Chassis length: 384mm, Overall width: 185mm, Tread: 157mm, Wheelbase: 257, 245, 233mm.
FWD chassis features front-mounted motor and is designed for optimum weight distribution and a low center of gravity.
Body, tires, ESC, motor, R/C unit, battery and charger not included.

Any info provided to me is much appreciated.

Thanks - Dale - Protoform

Dale....any plans to make any new GT race type bodies for 190mm sedans? With the growth of more "scale" looking classes...USVTA and USGT I would think a PF body would be great for the USGT or any GT class for that matter.

Given that you like real cars and race cars have you checked out Race Shot Resource http://www.raceshotsresource.com/ David W. does takes some really great shots of race cars if you havent checked out his work before.
