No offense, but who started this rumor?

All chassis were tech'd with tech marks put on the chassis (at IFMAR worlds). If there was a 'secret' car, wouldn't that be illegal for him to run it anyway? since it wasn't tech'd? You could tech only one chassis, and that's what you had to run. There's been LOT of pictures with Marc's racing car, with tech marks on the chassis. There was a 'picture' car that was little different from his actual racing car. May be Adrian M can clarify this since he tech'd them?

At this point, it's a 4th chassis Marc doesn't even know about? Heck, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I think someone is just BS'ing on the internet.

Yes, all chassis were teched at the Worlds. That doesn't mean that other cars were presented for photo ops. Ask Adrain that worked tech. The car everyone saw was not the car that won the Worlds.

I spoke with other Tamiya drivers that told me about his car being a one off assembled car that had a back up. No one else had the car.

No big deal here, I was with a phototgrapher that wanted to take pictures of his car, and the mechanic politely said no. ( he was running springs or something like that from another manufacurer) and they did not want to get a picture of the car that way. Later in the event they pulled out the photo op car. You can easily tell, as, there is no green paint on the chassis ( tech marks)

As far as I know. There are a lot of prototype things and one off items used in the Worlds. For that reason, The companies don't usually have the "real race car" for photo ops. No company wants to have a picture taken of the car with prototype chassis and/or other things that have not been finalized in a new kit or for hop ups. Losi's JRX was 90% complete for show quoted by Losi reps. But the parts shown had aluminum versions of what would probably be composite parts. Hence the 90% complete. Their part design was finalized though. Maybe Tamiya's parts weren't close to final production parts. Or may not ever be avaliable. You would think they would want to show possible hop ups coming out if they were confident in the design.

So on the above picture is the real car or the dummy car?

From what I know and this is true.

Marc was running a spare car from Satoshi Maezumi maybe the same car Satoshi drove this Weekend at the Japan Nat.

It was an TRF 415 MS with HPI Springs silver part Number 6825 an Spool from Titanium Racing and Swaybars maybe those from the 414wcr. The golden Shockrods are from Alex Racing.

Tamiya makes no Spool and no golden Shockrods.
And the TRF 415MS is not realesed till the 25 of this month.
So maybe this explains some points.

The photo op car is Marc real race car but not that one who won the worlds.

Even Marc doesn't have the winning car at home.
