bigger pinion or smaller spur makes you go faster

1) 7 since the TC4 came out.

2) 5 but still a great beginner radio, has most of the features of the highdollar ones.

3) 6 because I like to maintain my own motors. Brushless is great if you don't like to maintain your motors. But it will give you great run times and for a beginner it will be aenough power till you get your skills..

4) 4 959 is a ok beginner charger, I still own my first one, but it gets hot so I had to Modify it with a computer fan off the back to draw air through the little purple monster. If it is the 969 Pro (7 rating) than it is a very nice charger Minus the lower charge rate, other than that Both are very nice for a your needs.

5) if it is matched than 7 if it is not matched than 4 I perfer Sanyo or GP cells over Panasonics. I use Fustion matched (Worth the money if you race)

6) 5 I don't like how the Hoda handles, I use the Mazda 6 or the Alfa 2 bodies, they give me the best run times.

If your pinion is lower your off the line speed goes up if you use a bigger pinion your TOP speed goes up, one does effect how the other works so find the right combo for your track.

Hope these number help.

if it's the 959, avoid it like the plague. All of my batteries that I charged on that thing suffered from permanent (flatness?). It overheated like hell and couldn't charge at a decent rate. Terrible, Terrible charger...

yea i bought the novak motor and i really happy with it ive had no problems with it yet. the only thing u have to watch out for it the temp of your esc i hooked up a mini computer fan to cool it. If u want that gear calculator go to this website
[URL=http://www.dirtyrc.com/dirty_hop_ups/rcgears/rcgears_speed_calc.htm]. it works really well.

what size tires are you running because according to the gear chart you tc3 should be well over 40mph with a 30/700 gear combo and a 64mm tire (thats what i use) and the 34,800rpm the ss5800 produces?

1... 7 if u have a good setup
2.... 5 there are better radios then that
3..... run stock if you race unless u are a pro run pro mod
4. ......4 because thats a beginner charger..
5. ...... 4 there are better batteries that are matched such as reedy realtime and fukuyamas
6........ 5 get a body that handles better if you race

dont worry about the body, if you racing in a brushless class then get a more areodydamic body, but if you just crusing in the local parking lot you not gonna notice a .5 of a time diffrence, besides that whole body thing drives me crazy if your a good driver you can run a cardboard box for a body
