Well guys I ran with Mark Smyka last night and I would have to say he is a favorite for 1/12 stock and TC stock. He recently switched to Xray and is faster than ever in TC. Of course his CRC is always fast (he won snowbirds for 1/12 stock!!!) I also Ran with Mike Dumas and I would say his new Losi is amazing on the carpet. He ran good at the worlds in both classes but this kid runs 90% on carpet and he will be up front in 1/12 mod and TC Mod. Last, everyone knows Calandra always wins Masters 1/12 (it's like a given!!!)

Hi all,

Most of the pro teams are filtering into Cleveland and the surrounding area, and we're just a few days away from the track opening up, so it's time to get this thread up here and let the discussion begin. Rumors, half-truths and disagreements, like always

Unfortunately, some bad news--I had to cancel my trip out to Cleveland this year. The reason? I just can't afford it. It would have cost me well over a thousand dollars to get out and cover this one, and although I tried to make it work, it just didn't in the end.

The good news? There should be plenty of people posting here with results, as the hotel provides net access. I know nashrcracer will have coverage on his site and will probably post links here as he updates it. And I trust word of mouth will bring us even more than that.

Sorry to let everybody down; I will be at the Novak race in January (that one's paid for!) and I will do everything I can to be at Snowbirds.

To those going, enjoy the race!

Actually it is Jeff Eveleigh's territory... what with him being Canadian and all, no Thanksgiving to miss.

Last year both Jeff and I were there. Derek was at Snowbirds, and a bunch of other races.

Maybe you saw Jeff wearing his Derek costume... haha

*shudders*

We just did a flyby last year..went for Friday qualifiers...

This year wil be a trip to the mains on Sunday...

It would be nice to race....but just too much $$$...and I already have races in Jan, Feb, and a couple in July and August planned..plus RCX in Chicago of course...

If I push it any further my wife would make herself an "ex" and give me plenty of time to travel...I'd jsut have no money then

3 days to go! Finally have dyno and zapper for stock classes. Can't wait to race!!!!!

It's a shame about Lopez, Hara and Spashett! They are great racers that will be missed! There's always 2005! I can't wait for that race either! haha

sneak peak @ track design

track layout
180 on to the 8foot straight then 96 feet to a 9 foot wide sweeper on the right then back towards the driver stand. lots of open space. should be a fast track!

Does the hotel have a network set up that we can jump on? Or should I just give copies of all my pics to Nash too?
