I want the Rev 8 to come with all TORX hardware..

Jesus, a few extra wrenches, and an inexpensive fastener express order, and the huge inconvenience of SAE hardware pretty much disappears.

If on-road racers hadn't started running those stupid skinny 4wd buggies, we'd all still be content with "Evil Imperial " hardware.

Touring cars ruin everything

There aren't enough red metric screws in the world to make that happen.

Sounds Good Joel, Let me know when there available. I'd like to purchase one to try out for my R5!!!

[QUOTE=JoelV;11957942]That is indeed the plan. There is at least one set of bulkheads for the r5 bolt pattern cut to test fit. It is also designed for exact wheelbase as the current front end, so just bolt it on and go.

I had a (2 part) question about the Old School front ends I was hoping someone could answer for me.

Speed Merchant sell 2 old school front ends, regular and machined. Firstly, is there a difference in ride height between the two, if so how much*? Secondly, what are the machined in castor and camber?

*If possible can you tell me if you put a new pair of pro-cut CRC tyres on what your ride height is without shims.

Regular is just grabbed out of OEM bag of arms from associated. That mold has been around for 20+ years so consistency of camber/caster in the arms over time has changed. It's the reason we started to machine them in the first place.

Machined is machined camber/caster perfectly to the kingpin. As well as lower to gain ride height with small race sized tires. There's 1* camber 4* caster in the blocks.

I do not know what size the pro cut tires come cut to. My birds car with race cut jaco tires at 1.56" (39.6mm) tires I had 3.5mm of ride height wit only one .033" shim under the blocks.

Hope this helps.

Acknowledge it? I guess. I just know anytime you ask someone tire size nowadays they give you metric.
