Ride height gauge in 1/64" increments
Thats no good. Setups are being measured in .1mm's now. That's ~.003" or a little less than 1/256"

3.2mm = ~32/256" (actually exactly 32/254)

Machined is machined camber/caster perfectly to the kingpin. As well as lower to gain ride height with small race sized tires. There's 1* camber 4* caster in the blocks.

I do not know what size the pro cut tires come cut to. My birds car with race cut jaco tires at 1.56" (39.6mm) tires I had 3.5mm of ride height wit only one .033" shim under the blocks.

Hope this helps.
Ok, Pro-cut fronts are advertised as a diameter of 1.80" (45.72 mm).

Shim of 0.033" = 0.8382 mm, so if you're using these to get 3.5 mm of ride height then without the shim you'd have a ride height of 4.3382 mm.

So, max possible ride-height with new pro-cuts is 4.3382 + (45.72 - 39.6)/2 = 7.3982 mm.

That should give me the room I need to play with on some outdoor circuits, and in situations where I might want a little more camber (which reduces ride height).

Thanks, that helps.

How is the front ride height set, is it done the traditional way with spacers under the mount or another way?
Thanks,
E

Joel has been a HUGE help in getting stuff from AutoCAD into Solidworks. Luckily enough, I have a system that crushes Solidwork's renderings. Lots of fun. I have to have 50+ on my desk top.

Hi Eric. Ride height is done with shims under the blocks. It's easy, and it works well.

I'll have blocks for all the popular cars, so you’ll be able to run the New School on an R5, Xray, etc.

Have a great day.-Bruce

Ride height is set the traftional way with spacers under suspension arms. Ride height is capable of being made even on rubber band sized tires.

What I want to see is a full car rendering. Only problem I see though is the solidworks guy probably uses standard SAE units. Come on guy, get with the times!
