LSP Q2 problems and questions

LRP Q2 problems and questions ( NOT LSP LOL )
Ok I have a LRP Q2. 6 weeks old. ( the one in questin is in a 12th scale)
I run good batteries and new brushes often. My roll out is usually with in .05 of where I need to be. My car just is slow, now I wouldn't be super worried, but I tapped a board and my car turned into a rocket till I had to let off. I notice that one other time when I tapped a board, the car seemed to have a surge of power.
Should I just reset the speedo?
Should I change the profile?
Should I just continue to hack it up on the track?

I would try reseting the speedo and change the profile if that dosent work send it in , something must be loose.
