Yup,
Ran a Team spec T1 for a few months as part of a generous sponsorship package.
Built the car as per instructions and set it up as suggested in the included tech sheet.
Incredibly quick due to the lightweight composites used in the drivetrain. Only drawback was the high rate of wear in the transmission components(diff and input gears)
Basically I was replacing the gearbox input bevel gears before a big race meeting to guarantee they wouldn't fail.

I think they have changed the design and materials used in the gears so they may be a bit hardier than when I had mine. I don't know how the car would go with an 8 turn motor(other than very, very quickly) but it should be extremely competitive with a stock motor, provided you gear it correctly.

I used Peak World spec 2000s, Pro digi RMX ESC, Peak 11D Aurora(Can't remember the spur size but it was a 29t pinion-48 pitch) to gain 3rd place in modified TC at the 2000 NZ On road Nats.
Car was returned about a month later.

I think there's something going on behind the scenes at T-Tech at the moment - and not good things as far as i can tell - but I'm not an insider on the national scene.

I think parts support for that touring car will be virtually non-existent now - the firm's been focussing on the Predator off-roader for the last couple of years, and that car has lost it's best driver this season, and missed out on a deal to supply the associated team for the off-road worlds (If a company can't build a dozen cars and support them with parts, it makes you wonder).

Sosidge No the team lost its best three drivers. Ttech basically has a problem that the car is too expensive and 4wd is pretty much dead. And the car got a reputation for wearing out and breaking from the earlier cars.
Pity it's a good car. I notice that neil cragg only made the B final with his cat at his first national with it. A long time since that happened with his pred!
Would have been interestng to see what they could have done at the worlds. The car was dominant at the euros.

Try here
http://www.tech-racing.co.jp/kits.htm

Some of the cars are pretty similar to TRF414MII.

I think Japanese companies share factories and resources to keep cost down.

Is this car available in US or other countries than Japan?

I'm pretty sure they're talking about the shaft driven cars with the inboard suspensions from tenth technology, not the tech racing cars.

Ohhhh yes, but the Tech stuff from Japan is really nice eye candy....

Offroad...
Considering the end result that the Durango/TC3 thing got at the worlds, it would have been some good press had T-Tech been able to supply the Associated offroad team as originally planned.
The car is a proven winner in Europe, could have been very interesting.
