Side by side packs in a Tamiya F201?

Can you use anything but a stick pack in a F201 chassis?

Not with the standard Tamiya chassis. You'd have to buy the carbon chassis from 3Racing and then you should be able to do it, just requires a bit of juggling to get the cells in. At the moment, I've just been doing my best to get it to work and I think I have one pack ready to go like that so yeh, it is possible, but only with the 3Racing (Eagle) Chassis.

The stock chassis is designed for stick packs. After market F201 chassis can support both stick and side-by-side packs.

well actually, if you take a dremel or a file, and square up the little round edges in the battery compartment you can fit a side by side pack in just fine. but it is not TCS legal, if thats important to you.

Well maybe, but I honestly couldn't be arsed trying really. The way I see it, if you want to break TCS Rules, do it the right way, with a carbon chassis and all the other mods too on top of that.
