buy it, replace the diffs with real OTA parts and dont forget the shocks... (the shocks are imitation of an imitation of the TRF shocks )

If you take your time and build the shocks correctly i.e grease the orings, trim all the flashing off the parts smoothly, don't over fill, do't gouge the shafts with pliers trying to put the rod ends on and don't over tighten the shock tops. You will get some time out of them, but just like any moving part, you have to maintain it.

I definitely recommend TRF shocks though.

i realise this is an old post but i used the search feature so i figured it'd be better to bump this than start a new one and have repetitive info...

anyway, i am considering one of these teh-r31 cars... anybody have a list of required upgrades right form the start? I read there are a few parts that are really bad on this... anybody have link to the upgrade parts? i am having a hard time finding upgrades, or even legit parts for the ota-r31, specifically in north america.
