How's the oval interest in this race? Doesn't seem to be too "big" over at the HobbyTalk boards...

I plan on coming and running 17.5 Stock on the oval.

Nope. No ROAR membership needed. Entry fee doesn't include ROAR membership either.

We are not a ROAR sanctioned event, therefore NO ROAR membership is required.

Default 1/12 Mod.

Thank you for clarifying that no membership is required. I was going to attend the outdoor regionals in July but cancelled becuase of all the extra fees (race fee plus Roar Membership). So I'm glad to hear you don;t need it for the Indoor Nats.

Question : can anyone suggest a tire combo for 1/12 mod? Never going to this large an event will traction be stable at super sticky - or will traction build as the weekend goes on? Dbl Pinks all around? Or perhaps Magentas?

Please suggest tire combos for this carpet.

Thank you

John

Everyone runs magenta on both ends, sometimes pink or a combo of these 2 tires f/r. The first practice the grip will be about a club level high traction, then it will keep getting more as the weekend goes on. You will need to run 40.6mm or smaller fronts and 43mm or smaller rears. Hope that helps!

Default 1/12 Mod

It sounds like what I'm used to then and should have plenty of rubber combos to try.

I haven't run 1/12 Mod at this level before - do you know if most guys be running 4 or 5 turns?

I heard Blackstock was running a 3.5 at the Halloween Classic.

If you run a 3.5 or 4 you will be ok. Anything higher will not have the speed you need to run up front.
