It really depends on what you are using it for and if you want it to be loaded with features.

I'd stay away from these motors. I bought one at my local hobby shop for bashing, and it burnt up in 2-3 packs using the recommended gearing in my cars manual. The endbell cannot be removed for cutting, maintenance ect, but brushes can be replaced. Do yourself a favor and look at Speed gems pro motors, or something similar that will last and can be used for bashing and club racing.

Yes, the Speed Gems line is a very user & wallet friendly motor series. I'd recomend one of them for bashing & pick-up a better motor for racing. Axiom offers a wide range of race-tuned motors. www.AxiomMotors.com

Yeah, the Speed Gems line are great for bashing and racing. I have won many races with them while others ran handwound motors. This was in offroad where HP is not everything.

The motor listed is good for play and it is very economically priced. Yoiu are smart to choose Team Orion but one step higher wil get you better power, more efficiency, and longer motor life.

Orbital 2R Pro-BB

More power than Speed Gems and better quality.

For all you guys talking Speed Gems if you want a BETTER motor for about the same price than take a look at what RICK suggested.
These motor's are usually faster RPM wise and the magnets will last 10x's longer.

Plus no need for a SPECIAL brush.

Orion/Peak sell a Enduro Brush that works GREAT and last a long time compared to P94 Brushes.

Goodluck to all you guys racing and for the bashers have a great time.

with machine wound motors you could get a great or terrible motor they arent as consistant as hand wound motors xtreme rc had an article a few issues back and it was very informative and showed that machine wound motors arent as bad as they used to be

NitroKid I have a question.
Have you ever ran a Orbital 2R Pro BB?
Have you ever even ran a V2?
Or is this just what you have read.

I will say that the Orbital 2R Pro BB is a wonderful motor and performs VERY well on most tracks and even looks pretty good on most dynos.

But to come on here and say they are NO good because of stuff you have READ isnt .02 cents.Thats a showing of a lack of knowledge in the WORST of ways.
Your going to bash a product when you Im willing to BET have NEVER owned or Ran a Orbital 2R PRO BB.

While the V2's are a very nice motor they are $60.00-70.00 and kind of a pain for some newbie's to work on.

Again.Comments are what this board is about but people are looking for comments from people that have actually TRIED Or USED the Product before they make comments on them.So KEEP YOUR .02 cents if you have never owned one of these motor's and making comments without the experience with the product to back it up.Quit READING what you think is good and actually USE it before commenting on it.

Orion 2R Orbital Pro's are great motor's and would recommend them to any Offroad and or Sedan Racer's on a budget or for ANY Basher.Long Lasting Magnets and The Enduro Brushes by Peak/Orion are great.
